We all know that South Africans are rugby mad!
The famous green and gold of the Springboks is probably one of the most instantly recognised sports shirts in the world of Sport and Tri D are immensely proud to be the Springboks’ official Supporters wear partner.
Who can forget the moment, when arguably the most famous man in the world, Nelson Mandela, wore the famous Springboks jersey at the 1985 world cup?
In one symbolic gesture, by pulling on the number six jersey of the Boks capatain, Francios Pienaar, Mandela proved how sport, and rugby in particular, unites a nation.
South African Rugby epitomises the role of the sport and the country’s national teams in encouraging patriotism and instilling national pride in people from all walks of life. It also helps, of course, that Rugby is also one sport in which South African teams compete with – and regularly beat – the top teams from around the globe.
Now on any given day, men, women and children can be seen wearing rugby jerseys and revelling in the green and gold of the Springboks, South Africa’s national team and current holders of the World Cup.
Tri D and the Springboks a winning team by any standards!
